Learn more about some of the causes I support and consider standing with me in giving back to the community.
Giving back is a priority in the RE/MAX® culture. We are passionate about supporting the many organizations and nonprofits working hard to make our world a better place. All across the globe, the RE/MAX network is actively making a difference in their local communities by volunteering, donating money and ultimately, changing lives. Get to know some of the causes I support and consider standing with me as we give back to the community.
Rotarian of the Year 2020
I was awarded Rotarian of the Year for 2020 during a hot installation dinner in June. The award recognizes a Rotarian who has used their talents for Rotary Service to improve our Club, our community and/or our world. Rick Metts, President, presented the award for the Derry Village Rotary Club. I'm happy to serve our community!
2019 GSSBR "Good Neighbor Award Winner"
Proud to have been 2019's recipient of the Granite State South Board of REALTORS. My work for The Upper Room's TIPS Program (Teen Information for Parenting Success) was recognized, where the program was given a $500 check. I appreciate their willingness to go along with my crazy idea of a diaper drive!
Holy Donut Fundraiser
In October, my husband and I drove the Portland, Maine to the Holy Donut to purchase approximately 60 dozen donuts. We collected money from individuals and charged a "delivery fee." We then took that money to The Upper Room's Annual Auction and sponsored six families at $250 each. The money raised from the donut run went directly to families in need. One of the best fundraisers I've done to date! Well, it was the second one. Do I hear rumors of a third?
Coat Drive a Success
For the second year, I was asked to spearhead a coat drive supporting the students of the Derry Cooperative School District. We collected approximately 150 coats and donated them to Renew Clothing Closet, where they were distributed to students in need. Students from the Pinkerton Interact Club assisted again. Thank you to all who helped, especially the Derry Village Rotary Club who donated $1,000 for coats!
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®
Since 1992, RE/MAX agents have helped Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® support millions of kids each year who are treated at member hospitals throughout North America. Our donations stay local, which means RE/MAX agents who participate in the Miracle Home Program are helping kids in their own neighborhoods receive the best care possible.
Donations to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals® go toward a variety of vital categories within the hospitals, which include:
Charitable Care: Donations help support the cost of patient care, including medical bills, travel assistance, home expenses, medical equipment, specialized continued care and patient needs.
Education: Donations fund education to support patients, families and the community. This includes services like continuing the patient’s education while they’re out of school for treatment and education for the hospital staff and community on preventative care, safety, trauma and more.
Patient Services: Donations help provide services such as child life, art therapy, music therapy, pet therapy, outdoor gardens and playgrounds, playrooms, comfort tools, pastoral care, counseling, case management, and continued care.
Advancement Services: Donations advance the physical and programmatic excellence to continue to deliver the best possible services for the best possible patient outcomes in the future. This includes expansion projects, capital projects, and the creation of innovative programs and services.
Equipment: Donations help purchase and maintain medically-necessary equipment (such as incubators, CT scanners, etc.) and transport equipment (such as helicopters, ambulances, etc.).
Research: Donations seed funding necessary to continue innovative, transformational research. This includes creating medical advances, finding cures and engaging in clinical trials.
